Volunteering with Habitat is more than just giving your time — it’s building hope, stability, and opportunity right here in our community. Our mission simply would not be possible without the dedication of volunteers like you.
Whether you’re swinging a hammer on the construction site, assisting customers in the ReStore, or lending your leadership skills on our all-volunteer Board or committees, you’ll gain new skills, meet great people, and see firsthand the difference you’re making. Most volunteer opportunities offer flexible scheduling to fit your availability. Build Days take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. to noon, weather permitting.

Volunteer Opportunities Include:
Habitat Build Sites – No construction experience is necessary. Many first-time volunteers have never picked up a hammer or paint brush!
Habitat ReStore – If you enjoy a fast paced, fun and rewarding retail environment that strives to provide outstanding donor and customer service, then the ReStore would be a great volunteer opportunity for you!
Donation Pickups – Help our dedicated crew of volunteers picking up donations from homes and businesses around the NNK
Administrative Support – Administrative support includes all kinds of office work:
- The Newsletter
- Text writing/Photography
- Join a committee
- Assist with planning/organizing functions
- Assist with Volunteer management
- Assist in managing our real estate portfolio and qualify potential real estate contributions

Women Build
Keep an eye out for upcoming Women Build events in our area and neighboring communities. Women Build is more than a day on the job site — it’s an opportunity for women to come together, empower one another, and make a lasting difference. By sharing their skills, strength, and determination, participants help build safe, affordable homes and stronger futures for local families.
Together, women aren’t just building houses — they’re building confidence, community, and hope.
